Родом из Германии. Прусский чеканщик монет и медалей. Родился в еврейской семье, впоследствии крестился. Был при дворе Фридриха Великого. Был первым евреем в Прусской Академии искусств. Абрамсон создал большинство известных медалей Пруссии того времени. Стал официальным помощником своему отцу в возрасте 17 лет. Умер в возрасле 57 лет от переутомления.
