Sergiu Sanielovici

 Sergiu Sanielevici received his M.Sc. in physics from Bucharest University in 1977. He worked as a computational physicist for the Romanian Meteorological Institute, and then for the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Austria, and for CAE Electronics Ltd. of Montreal. He received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from McGill University in Montreal, in 1986. He did postdoctoral work in computational quantum field theory at the Brookhaven National Laboratory (Upton, N.Y.), and then at the Supercomputer Computations Research Institute at Florida State University in Tallahassee. He continued at F.S.U. as a visiting assistant professor and visiting SCRI associate. Currently, he is the senior scientific analyst for HYPERCOMP, a nonprofit association for high-performance computing in Halifax, Nova Scotia, as well as an adjunct professor of computing science at Dalhousie University.
