Alexander Jerome Gould (born May 4, 1994) is an American television actor and voice artist. He is best known for his role as Shane Botwin on the Showtime TV series Weeds and for having provided the voice of Nemo in Pixar's Finding Nemo.
Gould was born in Los Angeles, California, to Valerie and Tom Gould. Raised Jewish, he is active in his religion and the Jewish youth group USY. He has two younger sisters, Emma and Kelly, who are also actors.
Gould is perhaps best known for his role as Shane Botwin on the Showtime dramedy series Weeds as well as having provided the voice of the title character in Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo. Gould has guest-starred in many popular television series, including: Ally McBeal, Malcolm in the Middle, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Supernatural, and Pushing Daisies. In 2004, he starred as David Collins in the WB remake of the soap opera Dark Shadows. However, the pilot was rejected by the WB Television Network, and it was never aired.
