Ivo Goldstein - Biography

Dr. Ivo Goldstein (born in Zagreb, 16 March 1958) is a Croatian historian.

He received his PhD in history at the University of Zagreb. Since 2001 he is a full professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. He deals with Byzantium and Croatian history in the Middle Ages, especially the early Middle Ages, as well as history of the Jews in Croatia and the Croatian history of 20th century.

He is also president of Bet Israel, a Jewish group in Zagreb, which he leads with his father, historian Slavko Goldstein. They are both involved with the reconstruction of the Zagreb Synagogue.
