Ruchman, Margulies

I'm looking for the origin of the name Ruchman which was the family name of my grandfather Katriel.
Also I'm looking for the origin of the name Margulies which was the maiden name of my grandmother, Katriel's wife.
Both died in the Holocaust. I've no information of when, where how and by whom they have been exterminated.
