Известный в до- и послевоенный периоды лудзенский фотограф. Родился 26 февраля 1910 г. в Люцине. Служил в Латвийской армии. В конце 1930-х гг. ему принадлежало одно из трех лудзенских фотоателье. В 1958 г. переехал с семьей в Ригу. Скончался в 1971 г. Внуки и правнуки Внуки и правнуки живут в Израиле и в Латвии
