Оперный режиссер. В 1919–1922 – окончил 3 курса высшего технического училища (Москва), одновременно учился в актерской студии МХАТа имени М.А. Чехова (окончил как режиссер). В 1922–1924 – режиссер-педагог студии МХАТ. В 1925–1938 – главный режиссер и режиссер-постановщик в театрах Еревана, Ташкента, Минска, Одесса, Киева, Баку, Московского ТЮЗа. В 1939–1944 – ответственный режиссер филиала ГАБТа. В 1944–1947 – главный режиссер Новосибирского государственного театра оперы и балета.
