Adam Goldenberg - Biography

Adam Goldenberg (born 1987, in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian speechwriter and political advisor.

Goldenberg was Chief Speechwriter to Michael Ignatieff during his time as Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada and Leader of the Opposition in the Canadian Parliament. During the 2011 federal election, Goldenberg was a contributor to the party blog about the Liberal campaign.[1] He subsequently served as a senior advisor to Glen Murray.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Goldenberg attended St. George's School. As a high school student, he was twice selected to represent Canada at the World Schools Debating Championships.[2] As a member of his school's Reach For The Top team, Goldenberg competed in the national finals a record five times before leading St. George's to the championship in 2004.

He attended Harvard College, where he sang in the Harvard Din and Tonics and performed as a member of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals. For three years, he was an editorial columnist for The Harvard Crimson,[3] and the The Harvard Voice student newspapers.[4] He was twice nominated for "Best College Paper Columnist" by U.S. News and World Report, for his column, Sardonic Verses,[5] and was named one of the 100 top student journalists in America by UWIRE in 2008.[6]

In 2010, Goldenberg was selected as an Action Canada Fellow.[7] He is slated to attend Yale Law School in the fall of 2011.
