Alexandre Lippmann - Biography

Alexandre Lippmann (11 June 1881 – 23 February 1960) was a French Olympic epee fencer.

He competed in 3 Olympiads for France, winning 5 medals, including 2 golds.

He won a gold medal in Team Épée and a silver in Individual Épée at the 1908 Games in London.

He took the silver in Individual Épée and bronze in Team Épée at the 1920 Olympics in Antwerp.

He won his second gold medal, in Team Épée, at the Paris Games of 1924.

Hall of Fame

Lippmann, who was Jewish, was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 1984.
