Aline Caroline de Rothschild - Biography

Aline Caroline de Rothschild, Lady Sassoon (February 21, 1865 – 1909) was a French socialite and daughter of Cécile Anspach and Baron Gustave de Rothschild of the prominent Rothschild family. She died aged 43 or 44 from undisclosed causes.

In 1887 she married Edward Sassoon (1856-1912). They had the following children:

  • Philip Albert Gustave David (1888-1939)
  • Sybil Rachel Bettie Cécile, Marchioness of Cholmondeley (1894-1989)
