
Ben Jorgensen - Biography
Ben "Slork" Jorgensen (born July 4, 1983 in Teaneck, New Jersey) was the lead singer and guitarist of the New Jersey band Armor for Sleep. He wrote the first Armor for Sleep songs during the summer after his first year in college, and recorded them as a demo cd for $100 at a local recording studio, playing all the instruments himself. He lives in Teaneck, New Jersey. He is of German, Danish, and Japanese descent, and is also Jewish. Prior to forming Armor for Sleep, he was the drummer for punk band Random Task. He made a cameo appearance in Fall Out Boy's "Dance, Dance" video, and also in Cobra Starship's video for "The City Is at War", playing alongside Pete Wentz as a police-man. Jorgensen recorded a solo EP called "There Is Nowhere Left To Go" at Treehouse Studios in Jersey City, NJ. The EP was released on October 5, 2010 via digital download.
