Ellen Osiier - Biography

Ellen Osiier (August 13, 1890 – September 6, 1962) was a Danish foil fencer.

At the 1924 Paris Olympic Games, women’s fencing made its debut as Osiier won the gold medal at the age of 33 without losing a single bout.

Her husband, Ivan Osiier, fenced in 7 Olympics, won a silver medal in individual epee for Denmark at the 1912 Olympics, and won 25 Danish national championships in 3 weapons.
