Emil Kio (Hirschfeld) - biography

Emil Teodorovich Kio, born Emil Teodorovich Girshfeld-Renard (Russian: Эмиль Теодорович Кио, Эмиль Теодорович Гиршфельд-Ренард) (April 11, 1894 — December 19, 1965) was Soviet illusionist, People's Artist of the RSFSR.

His sons, Igor Kio and Emil Kio, Jr., had become famous Soviet magicians as well.
