Karl Ravech - Biography

Karl Ravech (born January 19, 1965) is an American journalist who currently works as the primary Baseball Tonight host for ESPN.

Biography

Education and career

Ravech was born in Needham, Massachusetts. He attended and graduated from Needham High School. A graduate of Ithaca College in 1987, he previously was affiliated with local stations WHTM in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and WBNG in Binghamton, New York. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Ithaca College in 1987. He also received a Master's Degree in Management and Leadership from Binghamton University in 1990.

ESPN

Ravech has worked for ESPN since 1993. He appears primarily on SportsCenter and Baseball Tonight. He has provided Play-By-Play commentary for the Little League World Series.

He also appears as the Baseball Tonight host in the 2K Sports video game, Major League Baseball 2K5.

Personal

Ravech resides in Avon, Connecticut with his wife and two sons.

He suffered a heart attack in November 1998.
