Pierre Meurgey Savigny-les-Beaune 'Les Bas Liards'

Pierre Meurgey Savigny-les-Beaune Les Bas Liards is a Red Wine from Burgundy, France. Hints of toasted anise and vanilla accent ripe blackberry and plum flavors in this fresh-fruited, briskly concentrated red. While ripe in black-fruit flavors, it has an elegant seam of green herbal tones. A kiss of char on the finish lends gravitas. Ready to drink now, it should maintain a peak through 2026.
The “lès” in Savigny-lès-Beaune translates as “near” and so, it should be easy to remember that the town of Savigny is literally near the town of Beaune—just to the north of it. And although the region isn’t exactly the talk of the town, very good value wines are up for grabs from here—particularly if you find one from any of the 22 Premier Cru vineyards.
