Работал замдиректора по хоз. части на Харьковском Тракторном заводе, с которым во время войны был эвакуирован в Барнаул (вместе с семьей и сестрой Сусанной). Был дважды женат. От первой жены Ани (приемный сын Евгений) родился сын Виссарион (перед войной), который эмигрировал в США в конце 70-х гг., где вскоре умер из-за травмы головы . Осталась дочь Карина, у которой, в свою очередь было 2 детей (мальчики). Давид незадолго досмотри женился повторно на Марине, которая потом хитростью забрала все наследство.Перенес несколько инфарктов. Умер от рака легкого.
