Последний царь Иудеи перед её разрушением вавилонянами. Был поставлен на царство Навухудоноссором, но восстал против Вавилона, обьединившись с египетским фараоном. Восстание было подавлено, Иерусалим завоеван и евреи, включая самого Цидкияху были взяты в плен. Перед его глазами убили его сыновей, а затем выкололи ему глаза. Умер в плену в Вавилоне.
