Во время войны Галину забрали в концлагерь в Польский, поставили ей номер на руке, потом при перевозке поезд попал под бомбежку и ей удалось бежать. Галя рассказывала, что спасла ее женщина полячка, не выдала немцам. Она долго жила с номером ,потом его выжгла уксусом. По ее рассказам из-за этого номера ее не брали на работу.
