Арестован в 1934 году. "Медик по образованию, он в начале 1920-х годов из любви к литературе пришел работать в одно из московских издательств. Из-за нескольких оказавшихся подмоченными экземпляров брошюры Сталина Льва Исааковича как заведующего отделом отправили "всего-навсего" на строительство канала Москва-Волга. Благодаря усердным хлопотам Давида Выгодского брат был освобожден, но вскоре он умер."
