"Исаак Ильич Рошаль, всю жизнь проработавший в системе Укркоопсоюза, доживал свой век в Киеве в крохотной комнатушке на улице Большая Житомирская, где едва помещались кровать, шкаф и прикроватная тумбочка. Иногда по воскресным дням он с помощью палочки добирался к нам. Это был милейший и, несмотря на возраст, красивый человек. Его голову венчала сохранившаяся пепельная шевелюра, а лицо освещалось пронзительными глазами и доброй улыбкой в уголках рта."
