Покрасс Аркадий - виртуозный пианист и аккомпаниатор, родился в Киеве. Он получил музыкальное консерваторское образование. В 1936 Аркадий Покрасс дирижировал эстрадным оркестром в Центральном парке культуры и отдыха имени Горького. Он представил московской публике приехавшего из провинции Вадима Козина. В течение ряда лет был его аккомпаниатором. Помимо творческого сотрудничества с Вадимом Козином Аркадий Покрасс был концертмейстером.
