Хотел поступать во МГИМО. Из-за 5 графы - не смог. Вероятно окончил Московский Энергетический Институт. До войны служил на Дальнем Востоке. Во время войны оказался в Ташкенте, где женился на Доре Иливицкой, у которой был сын Вадим. Общих детей не было. После войны работал инженером-электриком в Харьковэнерго. Умер от повторного инфаркта. После его смерти его жена с сыном переехала в Горловку, затем в Харьков, затем в Сочи; затем в Ленинград, откуда эмигрировали в Канаду (с внуком Валиком).
