пивоварню «Шопен», основанную в 1869 году купцом Вильгельмом Петровичем Шопеном, в 1897 году «купил Мордух Эпштейн и преобразовал ее в акционерное общество „Шопен”. Его продукция завоевывала награды на многих выставках и поставлялась в Польшу, Украину, Латвию, Беларусь. В самом Вильнюсе обществу принадлежали 54 пивных из 260. Производилось до 300 тыс. ведер пива в год».
