Прекрасно рисовал, но не стал художником. Обладая абсолютным слухом и легко подбирая на пианино мелодию любого уровня сложности, не стал музыкантом. Всегда вдохновенно и хорошо пел даже с учетом не очень вдохновенных обстоятельств, но так и не стал певцом. Имел явные задатки характерного актера, но не стал артистом. А все потому, что буквально с первых дней войны добровольцем ушел на фронт. После войны работал в милиции, откуда был уволен из-за родственницы в США. Работал директором районного Дома культуры с параллельной опекой горпоселкового кинотеатра.
