Родился в Харькове в 1935 г. Был в эвакуации в Красноармейске Саратовской обл. Закончил вечернее отделение Харьковского инженерно-строительного института. Работал в тресте ХарьковСтройМонтаж. В 1976 г. переехал в Москву, где работал фотокорреспондентом. В середине 90-х переехал на ПМЖ в г. Бонн Германия. Имеет сына Станислава 1967 г.р. и внуков Ариэллу и Роберта, которые живут в Нью-Йорке и Нью-Джерси, США.
