Борис (Залман Дов Борух) Шац (1866–1932) — скульптор, общественный деятель. Родившийся в Ковенской губернии Б. Шац в 1906 г. основал в Иерусалиме школу искусств и ремесел "Бецалель". Впоследствии школа "Бецалель" была преобразована в Академию художеств и прикладного искусства "Бецалель" — ведущую художественную школу в современном Израиле.
